Prolog Like all our trips, especially those with the Yunker’s, planning this one has a bit of history. I suggested several possibilities to the Yunker’s for our bi-annual trip, including New Zealand, Europe, and South America. We settled on Argentina and planned to use South America for Less (who did our trip to Machu Picchu in 2011) for the arrangements. Unfortunately Argentina is a large country, and airfares alone were going to be about $1500 per person. So by the time we added travel to Argentina, hotels, meals, and tours, it was going to be an expensive trip. Time for Plan B. I found a 13-day Holland America Cruise from Buenos Aries to Santiago, Chile for $1300, giving us transportation, housing, and meals for less than the cost of airfare around Argentina. Since Jerry and I are both cheap, we decided on this option. Then we booked most of our shore excursions through South America for Less. Of course, the minute we booked the trip for mid-March we realized that Easter, Sarah’s due date, and Michael’s wedding required that we rebook for March 5th. Everything appears to be in order and we are ready to go.
